When looking for a new addition to your business’s team, you want someone smart, competent and passionate. You want someone who will come to you with solutions, not problems. During the interview stage of your hiring process, you’ll most likely get several candidates who say they are “problem-solvers.” But how do you know they really do possess that skill?
That’s where the Wonderlic test comes in.
The full name of the Wonderlic test is the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test. This test measures the cognitive abilities of the respondent. It is most frequently used by employers to test their potential employees’, their problem-solving abilities and overall intelligence. It is divided into the cognitive, skill, personality and behavioral sections. Respondents are asked questions focused on analogies, math skills, direction following, disarranged sentences, logic, geometry and more. They are provided 12 minutes to answer 50 questions and are scored on correct answers within the allotted time.
